This recipe was adapted from an organic box at Planet Organic, only (dare I say it?) this is better! It’s a rough recipe to follow and make your own.
You’ll need: A cup or so of slit peas (boil and let cool) A cup or so grated carrots 1/2cup white cabbage if you have it(not essential) 1/2cup flaked almonds 1/2cup raisins 10 diced dried apricots (can be replaced for dates or figs) 1 red onion 2 cloves garlic
Spiced to taste: Cumin Fenugreek Turmeric Hot red pepper flakes Fresh coriander Low salt substitute (a sprinkle) A healthy douse of grapes eyed oil
